Job Overview: As S&R's Pre-Fabrication Shop keeps growing and developing, we are looking for a dynamic Shipper/Receiver. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and have a broad range of technical skills. Previous experience in this area will be considered an asset. Key Responsibilities includes, but are not limited too: Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against purchase orders and packing slips Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report issues as needed Enter and update shipment and inventory information in the company’s inventory management software Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding shipment status Maintain accurate records of received and shipped materials Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes Maintain a clean and organized workspace Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. Prepare and package products for shipments Generate shipping labels and documentation Schedule pickups with carriers Inspect incoming shipments for damage and accuracy Organize and maintain the warehouse for efficient operations Back up to any general labor Shop or Grounds tasks as needed Ad-Hoc Projects Qualifications: Basic computer skills and ability to use inventory or ERP software Proven experience as a handyperson or in a similar role Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Forklift certification preferred; must be willing and able to complete forklift training and safely operate equipment Proficiency in basic plumbing, mechanics and carpentry work Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and customer service skills Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Working Conditions: Full-time position with flexible hours Work will involve exposure to various weather conditions Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and work at heights if necessary We offer: Company events Dental care Disability insurance Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Paid time off S&R Mechanical is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
