Shipping & Receiving

Perform all duties common to the Shipping & Receiving position. Shipping: Accept, organize and prioritize products to be shipped. Coordinate with other employees as product order is completed. Package the product properly to avoid damage. Packaging sometimes includes assembling wooden pallet boxes using a cordless screw gun and requires hand strength. Enter shipping information into the computer, assist UPS, FEDEX, USPS with handoff, or forklift loading in the case of a truck shipment carrier. Receiving: Check packages into our computer system, inspect and open packages and place items into designated locations around the company, enter received items into our computer. This job involves lifting packages occasionally up to 30lbs and placing and retrieving them from high shelves. Emphasis is on learning to identify our products, incoming parts and suppliers. Also interacting and coordinating with other employees and delivery personnel to keep things running smoothly. Computer skills required and we will provide training for specific programs we use at Centroid. Advancement is available. For example, advance to our purchasing position or order fulfillment.
