Monday - Thursday 6am - 430pm or 430pm-3am Company Description Located in Central New York, Manth Brownell is a leading manufacturer of precision machined parts serving various industries. The company has a diverse range of machines to cater to different needs, including Swiss style CNC machines, multi-spindle Euroturns, Gildemeisters, Wickmans, Davenports, and CNC Haas equipment. Basic Function : Overall goal is to receive material, maintain lot control. Inventory levels and deliver raw material to production machines within company standards for safety, quality and productivity. Essential Functions : Review production schedule and recommend material release to provide required material for production while maintaining minimum inventory as possible. Log materials received into inventory. Maintain all receiving documentation as required. Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shippers to rectify damages and shortages. Oversee, direct and distribute material to floor, maintain all documentation of these deliveries. Create/maintain receiving Quality Assurance documents for computer. Unpack and store materials and/or merchandise in proper storage locations. Additional Responsibilities : Must be able to perform duties of Receiving Clerk Stockkeeper. May operate forklift truck or powered industrial truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping/receiving platform to storage or work area. May seek material quotes in absence of Purchasing Manager. Housekeeping: maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner. Perform all safety inspections to equipment daily, use proper machine guards and lifting techniques. Follow company policies, procedures and safety rules as described in the Alco Employee Handbook. Knowledge, skills and ability : Ability to safely operate forklift, Four Way forklift and overhead crane to unload truck, load/unload material racks and deliver bar stock accurately to production machines. Ability to read material identification tags and shipping documents to accurately identify material and to identify material lots per proper procedures. Ability to read & understand production schedules and use computer / manual tracking systems used by receiving department. Ability to understand and follow work instructions. Excellent organization, time management and communication skills. Special attention to the following safety policies : Wearing of personal protection equipment Steel Toe Safety Shoes required Forklift and four way certification required Valid NYS Driver’s License required Lockout/Tag out Fire response and evacuation Ergonomics Lifting policy Education, Training and Experience : High school diploma or GED Short-term on the job training 1-3 years’ receiving experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements : Bend, stoop or crouch to deliver stock to machines. Continual standing and walking to perform duties. Significant exposure to weather (between Bldgs.) Pushes very heavy carts of raw stock into place at production machines. Use fingers & hands to manipulate computer and overhead crane controls. Repetitive motion for typing /operating Raymond/Clark forklift.
