Why Fargo Woodworks Fargo Woodworks builds heirloom-quality furniture by hand — conference tables, executive desks, reception desks and sideboards that ship to offices across the country. Every piece is made to order right here in Fargo. Nothing is mass-produced, nothing is outsourced, and nothing leaves this shop that we wouldn't put in our own homes. We're growing, and we're building the kind of shop people want to stay at: clear standards, real ownership of your area, and the equipment and system to do the job right the first time. If you take pride in your work and want to get better at it, you'll do well here. About the Role Owns the last step before a piece leaves the building. You do the final assembly and inspection, clean and photograph every component, wrap and protect it, pack the crate, and stage it for pickup. You are the last set of eyes on work the shop spent weeks building, and the first impression the customer gets when the crate comes open. What You'll Do Final assembly and full inspection Clean all components Photo documentation Disassembly Wrapping and protection Crate packing Labeling, staging, and final shipment readiness What We're Looking For Careful hands and genuine patience with detail work A sharp eye for defects that others walk past Comfortable assembling and disassembling furniture Organized, methodical, and consistent shift to shift Experience helps, but we will train the right person. Reliability and attitude matter more to us than a resume. What Winning Looks Like in This Role Every shipment arrives at the customer without damage If it is not fully protected, it is not ready to ship. No shortcuts, no good enough Complete photo documentation on every piece before it goes in the crate Nothing ships incomplete or unlabeled You catch the problem here, before the customer does Physical Requirements Able to lift and carry 50 lbs on your own, and team-lift heavier tops and slabs On your feet and moving for most of an 8+ hour shift Regular bending, reaching, kneeling, and some overhead work Comfortable in a working shop with dust, noise, and seasonal temperature swings Safe use of hand and power tools, with required PPE (safety glasses and hearing protection) Frequent lifting, wrapping, and maneuvering of large furniture components Comfortable using pallet jacks and shop lifting equipment What We Offer Health insurance Paid time off Steady, year-round full-time work — we're growing, not seasonal Real ownership of your area, not just a task list handed to you Modern equipment and a clean, organized shop that's set up to win Training and room to grow — as we grow, we promote from within Work you can point at: furniture built to last generations, shipped nationwide Who Thrives Here You take pride in what you build and you care how it turns out You show up on time, every day, and people can count on you You'd rather own your area than be told what to do all day You speak up when something's wrong instead of passing the problem downstream You want to get better at your craft, not just collect a paycheck Straight talk: this is real work at a real standard. If you're looking to coast, this isn't the shop for you. Pay: From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week Benefits: Health insurance Paid time off Work Location: In person
