Shipping & Order Fulfillment Associate

Midwest Thermal Optics LLC We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping & Office Assistant to join our team. This position will primarily work in our shipping department, helping process customer orders and making sure every order is accurate before it leaves our facility. This is a full-time position during our busy fall and winter months, with somewhat more flexible hours available during the summer. Responsibilities Process, verify, and prepare customer orders for shipment Double-check orders to make sure the correct products, quantities, and shipping information are entered Print shipping labels and assist with daily UPS and other carrier shipments Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers professionally Communicate with customers regarding orders, shipping, and general questions Pull and review orders using our computer system Help maintain accurate paperwork and customer records Assist with general office duties as needed Accounting or bookkeeping duties may be available depending on experience Qualifications Must be dependable, punctual, and able to arrive to work on time Must have reliable transportation Must be very thorough and detail-oriented Must be comfortable and professional on the phone Good computer skills are required Must be able to work independently and stay organized during busy periods Must have a clean background Employment may be subject to a background check Previous shipping, office, customer service, or order-processing experience is helpful but not required Accounting, bookkeeping, or QuickBooks experience is a plus Schedule Full-time during the busy fall and winter season Somewhat flexible hours during the summer months Primarily weekday hours Additional hours may occasionally be available during especially busy periods What We’re Looking For The ideal person for this position is someone who takes pride in doing things correctly the first time. Accuracy is extremely important. We need someone who will carefully check orders, notice mistakes before products are shipped, communicate well with customers, and be someone the rest of the team can depend on.
