Shipping Manager

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and experienced Shipping Manager to oversee the day-to-day shipping operation. Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily shipping and logistics operations to ensure orders are processed and shipped accurately and on time.
• Coordinate shipments, carriers, delivery schedules, and transportation requirements.
• Direct and supervise warehouse/shipping employees, including assigning work and monitoring productivity.
• Ensure shipping documentation, labels, packing slips, quantities, and addresses are accurate.
• Coordinate with Production, Inventory, Customer Service, and carriers to maintain an efficient flow of products.
• Monitor shipment status and tracking information and communicate updates as needed.
• Resolve shipping delays, damaged goods, carrier issues, and last-minute changes in a timely and professional manner.
• Prioritize urgent shipments while maintaining routine shipping schedules and deadlines.
• Ensure inventory is properly managed and accurately reflected in shipping and inventory systems.
• Follow applicable shipping procedures, carrier requirements, and basic transportation regulations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shipping and warehouse environment.
• Hold team members accountable for performance, accuracy, attendance, and following established procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve shipping processes, efficiency, and communication.
• Take ownership of shipping issues and follow through until they are resolved.

• Strong organizational skills — Able to manage multiple shipments, schedules, carriers, and documentation simultaneously without missing deadlines or losing track of orders.
• Excellent attention to detail — Ensures accuracy in quantities, labels, packing slips, addresses, inventory, and shipping documentation.
• Leadership and team management skills — Able to direct employees, assign work clearly, hold team members accountable, and maintain a productive team environment.
• Strong communication skills — Communicates effectively with production, inventory, carriers, customers, and management and provides clear updates when issues arise.
• Problem-solving ability — Remains calm under pressure and finds practical solutions to delays, damaged products, carrier problems, and last-minute changes.
• Excellent time management and prioritization — Able to meet tight shipping deadlines while balancing urgent and routine orders.
• Logistics and systems knowledge — Understanding of shipping procedures, carrier requirements, tracking systems, inventory systems, and basic transportation regulations. Experience with food-product shipping is a plus.
• Reliability and accountability — Takes ownership of responsibilities, follows through on commitments, and can be counted on to keep the shipping operation running smoothly.
• Previous experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, or a related field.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
