Shipping Manager
WestCampWest-Camp Press, Inc., one of the industry’s leading graphic services provider, has an exciting opportunity in our busy warehouse and fulfillment department as the shipping manager. The right candidate will be highly organized, reliable, detail oriented with excellent communication skills. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work independently or in a team environment and have a strong drive to meet our customers demands. A thorough knowledge of small parcel shipping platforms and experience with vendor management will set you apart as a candidate. Essential Functions: Accurately read job tickets to prepare deliveries in trucks and cross check product for errors or missing items. Input delivery information and track shipments/deliveries and receipts in company software. Complete the daily process of small parcel and freight shipments including closing out shipped job tickets. Schedule daily deliveries utilizing LTL, small parcel and company drivers. Negotiate best pricing with multiple shipping vendors. Work closely with receiving clerk to schedule open bay doors for shipments. Assist receiving clerk with receiving duties during their absence. Assist with creating labels for Bindery department using LabelMaker. Package finished goods of a variety of sizes using corrugated boxes and other materials. Wrap and bind skids using wrapping machine. When needed, safely unload product from trucks and trailers at the docks and placing product in storage racks or designated floor space. Work in a safe manner following Company and OSHA requirements. Other duties as may be assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of company software, some excel spreadsheet functions and basic computer skills. Thorough knowledge of small parcel software such as UPS and FedEx to create and track delivery of parcels. Thorough knowledge of various shipping regulations for domestic and international shipments through UPS, FedEx, LTL and company drivers. Communicate with supervisors and co-workers regarding shipments and delivery of finished product. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks. Learn to identify and apply the various shipping requirements of our customers. Learn to safely operate material handling equipment such as the electric hand jack.
