Job Summary / Objective The Shipping & Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing the daily shipping, receiving, freight, and delivery activities of the warehouse. This position works closely with customers, freight carriers, truck drivers, and internal teams to ensure products are accurately prepared, documented, loaded, and delivered on time. The ideal candidate has experience in LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) shipping and freight operations , along with hands-on warehouse and delivery experience. This position requires someone who is comfortable working with freight carriers and shipping documentation while also being able to safely handle, move, load, and deliver heavy-duty products. A successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent customer service and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The ability to identify and resolve shipping issues, properly document freight, and ensure the right product reaches the right customer or carrier is critical to success in this role. Essential Job Functions Shipping & Logistics Coordinate daily shipments and pickups with LTL carriers, freight companies, customers, and internal teams. Prepare and process shipments using appropriate LTL shipping methods and procedures . Prepare, review, and maintain Bills of Lading (BOLs), freight documentation, and shipping paperwork . Ensure shipments are properly packaged, labeled, documented, and ready for carrier pickup. Verify product, quantities, and shipping information before freight leaves the facility. Coordinate freight pickups and ensure the correct product is loaded onto the correct carrier. Monitor emails and internal communications for sold units and shipments requiring preparation and staging. Communicate with internal departments regarding shipment status, pickup schedules, freight issues, and special requirements. Inspect incoming freight for visible damage and properly document any damage on the freight bill/BOL. Communicate damaged or incorrect shipments to the appropriate internal team and assist with resolving freight issues and claims. Investigate and resolve shipping, freight, and delivery discrepancies. Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation. Warehouse & Material Handling Safely operate a forklift to pull, stage, load, and put away product. Receive incoming stock units, inspect products for damage, and place inventory in the appropriate warehouse location. Use scanners and warehouse systems to accurately record product locations and movements. Safely load and unload products from freight trucks, pickup trucks, and box trucks. Stage products for customer pickup and carrier shipments. Ensure products are handled and secured properly to prevent damage during loading, transportation, and storage. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse and shipping area. Delivery & Customer Service Operate company pickup and box trucks to make local deliveries and pickups as needed. Provide professional and courteous service to customers, freight drivers, and other visitors. Verify customer orders and paperwork during pickups and deliveries. Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams regarding deliveries, pickups, and shipment status. Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, and transportation partners. Qualifications Previous LTL shipping, freight, or logistics experience strongly preferred. Previous warehouse and/or delivery driving experience required. Experience preparing or processing Bills of Lading (BOLs), freight paperwork, and shipping documentation preferred.
