Shipping Coordinator

Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient coordination of shipping and receiving operations, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and on time. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, inventory management, and shipping logistics will drive seamless order fulfillment and contribute to the overall success of our distribution processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the heart of our supply chain, supporting both domestic and international trade compliance while maintaining high standards of customer service. Responsibilities Manage shipping and receiving activities, including order picking, packing, and loading/unloading goods using RF scanners, pallet jacks, and forklifts. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems such as AS400 to track inventory levels, process shipments, and update records accurately. Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure proper stocking, packaging, and labeling of products in accordance with trade compliance and international trade regulations. Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and compliance forms for domestic and international shipments. Monitor inventory levels using inventory management software; perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies through data entry and inventory adjustments. Collaborate with logistics providers to schedule pickups, deliveries, and ensure timely dispatch of goods across various distribution channels. Maintain detailed records of all shipping & receiving activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and company policies while providing excellent customer service. Skills Strong proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (such as AS400), and inventory management software. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of shipping logistics, order fulfillment processes, packaging standards, and international trade regulations. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers; certification preferred. Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communication purposes. Demonstrated ability to perform data entry accurately while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
