Shipping Coordinator

Job Title: Shipping Coordinator Reports To: Shipping Supervisor Job category: Individual contributor Division: Scented & Living Solutions Department: Warehouse Location: Manitowoc, WI Description / Scope / Mission Coordinate shipping activities for specified Northern Labs customers. Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities Coordinate shipment logistics and paperwork for specified customers in a fast-paced, high shipment volume via truckload, LTL, and small pack (parcel) environment. Monitor shipment delivery performance. Work closely with Sales and Customer Service staff to meet and improve levels of customer service. At direction of management, work closely with other departments to establish procedures and processes that ensure Northern Labs is efficiently meeting customers’ shipping requirements. Perform inventory cycle counts. Monitor finished good inventory. Provide back-up for other Shipping Coordinators. Complete other miscellaneous duties as assigned. Report Shop Floor orders Education / Certification / Qualifications / Experience High school diploma 2-3 years transportation or shipping experience Forklift certification HazMat certification a plus Specific Knowledge: (Technical/Product, Organizational and Interpersonal) Stand; walk; taste or smell; and use foot/feet to operate machine up to 1/3 of the time. Sit; use hands to finger, handle or touch; and talk or hear 2/3 and more of the time. Up to 30 pounds to be lifted or force to be exerted up to 1/3 of the time. Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less). Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more). Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors). Calculator and forklift up to 1/3 of the time. Phone and copier/fax/printers 1/3 to 2/3 of the time. Computer 2/3 and more of the time.
