Shipping Coordinator – Evening Shift (Logistics & Transportation)

We are looking for a dependable, organized, and proactive Shipping Coordinator to join our team in Irving, TX! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating shipments, communicating with drivers and customers, managing schedules, and keeping daily operations running smoothly. The ideal candidate is a strong multitasker who can think on their feet, handle changing priorities, and take initiative to resolve logistics challenges. We need someone who doesn't just identify problems but actively works to find solutions. Two Different Schedules Available: Schedule 1: Sunday–Monday: 4:00 PM – 1:00 AM; Tuesday–Thursday: 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM Schedule 2: Tuesday–Saturday: 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily shipments, deliveries, pickups, and transportation schedules. Communicate professionally with drivers, customers, vendors, and warehouse personnel. Track shipments and provide timely updates regarding delivery status. Prepare, review, and maintain accurate shipping documents, orders, and related paperwork. Schedule appointments and coordinate incoming and outgoing freight. Monitor shipments and proactively resolve delays, missing information, and scheduling issues. Enter, maintain, and update shipment information accurately in company systems. Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure efficient freight movement. Handle last-minute logistical challenges while keeping shipments on schedule. Deliver excellent customer service through clear, professional, and timely communication. Qualifications & Experience Previous experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, or warehouse office operations is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, or logistics software is a plus. Ability to remain calm, focused, and solution-oriented when schedules or priorities change. Self-motivated with the initiative to identify issues and take action without constant supervision. Dependable, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team. What Makes You a Great Fit?
