Shipping Coordinator

Overview Gerarden Fabrication is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for efficient coordination of shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment to ship fragile, high-value products and components. Expect to use a forklift, an orbital pallet wrapper, panel saws, chop saws and perform routine equipment maintenance. Our products are luxury quality and an eye for cosmetic perfection is critical. Responsibilities Safely operate forklift and an orbital pallet wrapper, panel saws, chop saws to execute precise cuts and protective packaging. Monitor the orbital pallet wrapper process continuously to ensure parts are wrapped to protect. Safely manage and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities, load materials and finished parts using a fork-lift and ensure proper staging to prevent cosmetic damage. Utilize warehouse management systems and inventory management software to track stock levels, process data entry, and ensure accurate order picking & packing. Oversee order fulfillment processes from order picking to packaging, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and international trade standards. Maintain accurate records of shipments, inbound and outbound logs, and inventory movements. Collaborate with warehouse staff on stocking procedures, warehouse operations, and distribution schedules to optimize workflow efficiency. Ensure proper packaging and labeling of products for shipment while adhering to safety standards and customer specifications. Support customer service by providing timely updates on shipment status and resolving any logistical issues promptly. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or logistics roles with familiarity in warehouse distribution processes or working in a production and shop environment, experience driving a forklift, handling order volume, meeting deadlines and logistics. Strong ability to read and interpret order pull sheets, engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. An eye for extreme detail to ensure quality is delivered. Proficiency in reporting, data entry, and communication. Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking & packing procedures.
