Shipping Coordinator

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient coordination of shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, forklift operation, and warehouse distribution will drive seamless movement of goods from our facility to our customers. Duties Manage daily shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading shipments with forklifts and reach trucks Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP (Materials Requirements Planning), and AS400 platforms to track inventory, process orders, and update shipment statuses Prepare Shipping Documents: Prepare and verify shipping documents, including bills of lading (BOL), packing lists, shipping labels, and delivery paperwork. Bill of Lading (BOL) Knowledge: Understand how to prepare, review, and verify bills of lading, including shipment details, product descriptions, quantities, weights, shipper and consignee information. Coordinate order picking, packaging, and order fulfillment processes to meet delivery deadlines Ensure proper handling of goods during load & unload procedures, maintaining safety standards at all times Conduct accurate inventory counts and support warehouse distribution efforts through efficient order picking Maintain detailed records of shipments, receipts, and inventory movements for audit purposes Collaborate with warehouse staff to optimize space utilization and streamline warehouse operations Quality & Accuracy Checks: Inspect packages and products to ensure they are properly packed, labelled, and ready for dispatch. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, order picking, and warehouse distribution Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP software, and AS400 platforms Strong understanding of packaging standards, order fulfillment procedures, and basic math skills for inventory calculations Ability to perform order picker tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy under time constraints Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced environment Prior experience working in e-commerce warehouses is preferred but not mandatory Join us as a Shipping Coordinator and become a key player in delivering outstanding service through precise coordination and operational excellence.
