Shipping Clerk / Warehouse Loader

Position Summary We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Shipping Clerk / Warehouse Loader to join our team. This role is primarily based on the warehouse floor—not a desk-only position—with a heavy focus on physically preparing, securing, and loading electric vehicles and parts for outbound shipping. About VPS Inc. VPS Inc. designs and manufactures high-performance electric golf and utility vehicles. The Summerville plant is a working production facility where assembly, inventory, shipping, and receiving happen every day. Schedule & Shift Days: Monday to Friday Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Full-Time) Compensation Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour (Depending on experience) Key Responsibilities Loading Focus: Safely load finished golf carts, utility vehicles, and detached parts onto trailers, ensuring all items are properly secured for transportation. Order Accuracy: Match golf carts and parts to sales orders, including model, color, quantity, and VIN/serial numbers. Inspection: Inspect outgoing shipments for damage, missing components, and overall order accuracy before they leave the facility. Preparation: Prepare, package, label, and secure carts and accessories for shipping. Documentation: Prepare packing lists, shipping labels, and bills of lading. Coordination: Coordinate pickups and deliveries with drivers, freight carriers, and warehouse staff. Tracking: Record shipments, update inventory systems, and report any shortages or damage. Safety: Maintain a clean, organized shipping area and strictly follow workplace safety procedures. Required Qualifications Reliable attendance, excellent punctuality, and strong attention to detail. Ability to read and follow work orders, packing lists, and safety instructions. Basic computer skills for accurate data entry. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform heavy material-handling duties (with or without reasonable accommodation). Willingness to complete required equipment training before operating forklifts or other powered machinery. Preferred Qualifications Previous shipping, loading, or warehouse logistics experience. Direct experience loading trailers and securing vehicles, automotive parts, or powersports equipment. Forklift or pallet jack experience. Familiarity with digital inventory systems and freight paperwork. Work Environment This is a fast-paced, active warehouse-floor role. Work heavily includes container loading, handling boxed kits, organizing inventory around the assembly line, and prepping finished electric vehicles for freight. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a production environment and capable of setting a high standard for how our premium products are handled and shipped.
