Shipping Clerk

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate processing of outgoing shipments, manage inventory data, and ensure seamless coordination between warehouse operations and shipping logistics. Duties Prepare and verify shipping documentation using inventory management software, ERP systems, and AS400 platforms to ensure accuracy and compliance with trade regulations. Coordinate with warehouse staff to load and unload shipments safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other equipment. Manage order picking, packing, and staging processes for timely dispatch of goods, including e-commerce orders. Track inventory levels through warehouse management systems and conduct regular stock counts to maintain optimal inventory accuracy. Ensure proper packaging standards are met for all shipments while adhering to shipping & receiving protocols. Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve shipment issues promptly and provide tracking updates to clients. Maintain detailed records of all shipping activities, including inbound/outbound logs, incident reports, and compliance documentation related to international trade regulations. Experience Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping logistics, or distribution centers with familiarity in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software. Hands-on experience with order fulfillment processes such as picking & packing, order picking, and load & unload procedures. Skilled in operating warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other material handling tools; forklift certification is preferred. Strong knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with trade compliance standards for international trade regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry, reporting, and communication purposes. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing tasks. Excellent organizational skills combined with a customer service mindset to support efficient warehouse distribution operations.
