Shipping Clerk

Role Overview The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing, packaging, and processing all outbound orders with accuracy, speed, and care. This role ensures every shipment meets company standards for presentation, protection, and timeliness. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑moving operational environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and package outbound orders according to company standards, ensuring items are protected and professionally presented. Verify order accuracy by cross‑checking items against packing slips and system records. Select appropriate packaging materials based on item type and fragility. Print and apply shipping labels using company shipping software and carrier platforms. Process shipments through USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or other carriers. Maintain a clean, organized packing station with stocked supplies. Track and record outbound shipments in the company system. Communicate any discrepancies, damaged items, or supply shortages to the operations lead. Meet daily shipping deadlines and support the team during high‑volume periods. Follow all packaging, branding, and presentation guidelines. Assist with inventory counts and restocking of packaging materials. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment Basic computer skills (label printing, order updates, shipping software) Ability to lift and handle boxes (typically 10–40 lbs) Reliable, punctual, and able to follow structured workflows Prior shipping or warehouse experience preferred but not required Performance Indicators On‑time shipment rate Packaging accuracy and presentation quality Error rate (mis‑packs, label issues, missing items) Station organization and supply readiness * Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Work Location: In person
