Shipping Clerk

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties Prepare and process outbound shipments using warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment. Coordinate with warehouse distribution teams for the proper loading, unloading, and stocking of goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers. Verify shipping documents, trade compliance, and international trade regulations to ensure all shipments meet legal requirements. Manage shipping & receiving activities, including packaging, labeling, and documentation to facilitate smooth logistics operations. Utilize ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms for data entry, order tracking, and inventory updates. Conduct inventory management tasks such as stock counting, replenishment, and cycle counts to maintain optimal stock levels. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with carriers, vendors, and clients regarding shipment status or issues that arise during transit. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics roles with familiarity in shipping logistics and inventory management software. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (such as AS400), and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for order quantities, weights, measurements, and shipment documentation. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers; forklift certification is preferred. Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate records of shipments and inventory movements. Knowledge of trade compliance standards and international trade regulations related to shipping processes. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
