Shipping Clerk

Job Summary: Simple Orthotics is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for quality control (QC) and shipping orders, ensuring that our products reach our customers in perfect condition and on time. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Order Processing: Accurately pick and pack orders for shipment based on customer specifications. Prepare shipping documents, labels, and other necessary paperwork. Coordinate with the production team to ensure orders are complete and ready for dispatch. Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damage before shipping. Ensure that all items meet company quality standards and specifications. Maintain accurate records of inspections and QC findings. Shipping Coordination: Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers. Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery. Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and resolve any shipping issues. Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts. Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory levels to the management. Ensure shipping supplies are adequately stocked and reorder as necessary. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all shipments and QC activities. Prepare regular reports on shipping performance and quality control metrics. Assist in developing and implementing shipping and QC procedures to improve efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting Strong organizational skills to manage shipping and receiving tasks Proficient in order fulfillment and packaging processes Basic math skills for inventory management Knowledge of warehouse management systems and order picking techniques Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $17.50 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Language: English (Required) Shift availability: Day Shift (Required) Ability to Commute: Riverside, CA 92503 (Required) Work Location: In person
