Shipping Clerk
DAVCO Technology, LLCSUMMARY The Shipping Clerk is responsible for supporting daily shipping activities to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant outbound shipments. This role assists with preparing documentation, staging materials, coordinating parcel/LTL/FTL shipments, and maintaining an organized shipping area. The Shipping Clerk works closely with production, customer service, and logistics personnel to meet customer requirements and delivery expectations. This position reports directly to Shipping Manager. Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Shipping Preparation: Assist with preparing, staging, and verifying outbound shipments for parcel, LTL, and full truckload carriers. · Documentation: Generate and print packing slips, labels, and basic shipping documents under supervision. · System Transactions: Enter shipping confirmations and maintain accurate ERP records. · Material Handling: Move finished goods to the shipping area, ensuring correct part numbers, quantities, and packaging. · Accuracy & Compliance: Verify counts, packaging integrity, and customer-specific shipping requirements. · Communication: Coordinate with production and customer service regarding shipment timing, shortages, or changes. · Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping area with proper 5S practices. · Inventory Support: Assist with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and material flow as needed. · Team Support: Provide general support to the shipping team and assist with coverage during peak periods or absences. · Other tasks assigned by the Shipping Manager. QUALIFICATIONS · High school diploma or equivalent. · 0–2 years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or material handling preferred. · Basic understanding of shipping processes (parcel, LTL, FTL). · Ability to learn ERP systems and customer shipping portals. · Strong attention to detail and accuracy. · Good communication and teamwork skills. · Ability to operate pallet jacks and other basic material handling equipment (training provided). · Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP navigation). · Reliable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
