Shipping Clerk

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties Prepare and package orders accurately using appropriate materials to ensure safe delivery. Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to load, unload, and move inventory efficiently within the warehouse. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms to track shipments, update inventory records, and manage order fulfillment processes. Conduct stock stocking, order picking, packing, and order fulfillment activities with precision to meet customer demands. Verify shipping documents and labels for accuracy; coordinate with carriers for timely pick-up and delivery schedules. Assist with inventory control by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies using basic math skills. Support warehouse distribution operations by loading/unloading trucks and ensuring proper storage of goods on pallets or shelves. Skills Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures. Certification or experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and MRPs (Material Requirements Planning systems). Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and AS400 platforms for order processing. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and calculations related to shipping dimensions or weights. Knowledge of e-commerce order picking, packing techniques, and warehouse distribution best practices. Ability to operate packaging equipment efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
