JOB SUMMARY: The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating the company’s incoming and outgoing shipments. Duties include packaging orders, scheduling shipments, and preparing accurate shipping documentation. The position requires effective communication with customers, vendors, and colleagues to ensure shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Prepare, package, label, and stage products for shipment. Prepare shipping documents, packing lists, bills of lading, and other required paperwork. Schedule pickups and deliveries with freight carriers and other transportation providers. Verify orders, quantities, shipping addresses, and product information before shipment. Track shipments and communicate delivery status or delays to customers, vendors, and internal staff. Maintain an organized shipping area to ensure materials are properly stored and staged. Operate shipping equipment such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and overhead cranes. Previous experience using common material handling equipment such as hand trucks, powered pallet jacks, and powered industrial trucks preferred. 2-5 years of related experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
