Shipping Clerk

Job Overview As a Shipping Clerk, you’ll keep orders moving accurately through warehouse operations, from picking and packing to shipment preparation. You’ll use inventory management tools and shipping logistics processes to support warehouse distribution and dependable order fulfillment. Your impact: Accurate, timely shipments help customers receive the right products and help warehouse teams maintain reliable inventory records. Duties Prepare, package, label, and document outbound orders; support shipping and receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment. Pick orders and verify items, quantities, and shipment details using a warehouse management system, inventory management software, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Enter shipment and inventory information; maintain records using data entry tools, Microsoft Office, and, where applicable, AS400 or material requirements planning (MRP) systems. Coordinate logistics with carriers and internal teams; follow trade compliance requirements and international trade regulations when handling applicable shipments. Load and unload freight using approved equipment, such as a pallet jack or order picker, and operate a forklift only if trained and authorized. Requirements Basic math, attention to detail, and clear customer service and communication skills. Familiarity with warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping logistics, and picking and packing; warehouse experience is helpful. Ability to use computer systems for data entry and learn relevant warehouse management, inventory management, or ERP software. Preferred: Experience with warehouse distribution, order picking, shipping and receiving, stocking, and order fulfillment. Preferred: Forklift, pallet jack, or order picker experience; knowledge of MRP, AS400, and trade compliance is an advantage.
