Shipping Clerk

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. Duties Prepare and verify shipping documents, labels, and customs paperwork using inventory management software and ERP systems. Coordinate the picking, packing, and staging of orders using RF scanners, order pickers, pallet jacks, and forklifts to ensure accurate order fulfillment. Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols, utilizing equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Maintain precise inventory records through data entry and inventory management systems like Warehouse Management System (WMS) and AS400. Ensure compliance with trade regulations and international trade laws during shipping processes. Collaborate with warehouse staff to manage stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics for seamless warehouse distribution. Conduct regular audits of shipments, verify quantities, inspect packaging quality, and resolve discrepancies promptly to uphold high standards of customer service. Experience Proven experience in warehouse operations or a shipping & receiving environment with familiarity in inventory management software such as ERP or AS400. Hands-on experience with shipping logistics including order picking & packing, load & unload procedures, and freight documentation. Skilled in using warehouse equipment like RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and order pickers safely and effectively. Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately. Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, trade compliance standards, and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is preferred. Excellent data entry skills combined with customer service experience to address inquiries related to shipments or delivery status. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of warehouse distribution.
