Shipping Clerk

Afinitas a company of Barry-Wehmiller is HIRING ! We are looking for an Shipping Clerk to join our team in Mediapolis, IA. Afinitas is one of the leaders in selling innovative equipment that is used to produce concrete products such as concrete pipes and manholes. Job Summary As a Shipping Clerk, you’ll keep orders moving accurately through shipping and receiving. You’ll use warehouse systems and shipping documents to coordinate inventory, prepare packages, and support domestic and international shipments. This hands-on role connects warehouse operations with logistics and customer service. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and document manufactured items upon completion of shipment. Coordinate with all other teams to ensure sales orders are complete, accounted for and ready to be shipped. Prepping finished products for shipment, which may include shrink wrapping, building skids, and bracing products to prevent shipping damage. Operate mobile equipment to assist in moving any parts to other designated areas. Use Infor ERP system and UPS website for shipments Comply with all safety procedures. Any other assigned duties. QUALIFICATIONS Must have good organizational and communication skills. Work with other areas and have good housekeeping habits. Must be computer proficient and ability to learn any batching systems required. Must have forklift and other mobile experience. Ability to comply with all work-related deadlines and any overtime that may be required. Attention to detail WORK ENVIRONMENT Works in a plant/manufacturing environment that involves the use of industrial machinery and chemicals. Employee must be able to correctly wear and use any Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required at the location.
