Shipping Clerk

We are hiring a dependable Shipping Clerk to support a busy operation in Fairmont City. This is a practical, hands-on role for someone who enjoys staying active, keeping things organized and helping products move accurately from delivery to dispatch. You will work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor, inventory team and delivery drivers. Full training will be provided, so direct shipping and receiving experience is helpful but not essential. $19.00–$22.78 per hour Full-time | Monday–Friday | Day shift On-site in Fairmont City, IL 62201 The work behind each shipment Receive incoming deliveries and confirm quantities against shipping documents Inspect packages for damage, shortages or incorrect items Scan products into the inventory system and update warehouse records Print shipping labels, packing slips and delivery paperwork Sort, label and organize inventory in the correct storage areas Pick and prepare outgoing orders for shipment Stage completed shipments for carrier collection Communicate delivery issues or inventory differences to the supervisor Keep receiving areas, workstations and warehouse aisles clean and safe What will help you succeed Strong attention to detail when checking products and paperwork A reliable, punctual and team-focused approach Confidence using basic computer systems or handheld scanners Ability to stay organized while managing several deliveries Comfortable standing, walking, bending and lifting packages up to 50 pounds Warehouse, inventory, order fulfillment or shipping experience is welcome but not required Applicants from Fairmont City, Granite City, Collinsville, East St. Louis and the wider Metro East area are encouraged to apply.
