Shipping Clerk

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accurate and efficient processing of outgoing shipments, ensuring that all orders are prepared, packed, and dispatched in a timely manner. Your expertise in warehouse operations, inventory management, and shipping logistics will contribute to seamless order fulfillment and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately using order picking tools such as RF scanners and pallet jacks. Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software to track stock levels, update records, and ensure data entry accuracy. Load and unload freight efficiently using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Coordinate with warehouse distribution teams to ensure timely order fulfillment and proper packaging according to trade compliance standards. Verify shipping documents, bills of lading, and customs paperwork for international trade regulations when applicable. Maintain organized shipping areas by stocking supplies, managing packaging materials, and ensuring cleanliness for optimal workflow. Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve shipping issues promptly and provide updates on order status. Experience Proven experience working in warehouse operations or logistics environments with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes. Hands-on experience with warehouse management systems (such as ERP systems or AS400) and inventory management software. Skilled in using RF scanners, order pickers, pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively. Strong understanding of shipping logistics, order fulfillment procedures, and international trade regulations. Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately. Excellent data entry skills combined with customer service aptitude to address inquiries professionally. Prior experience with inventory management software like MRP systems is a plus.
