Shipping Clerk

Job Description We are seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team on the day shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving incoming goods, preparing outgoing shipments, verifying documentation, and ensuring that all materials are handled accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and shipping documents. Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments. Verify quantities, part numbers, and product specifications to ensure accuracy. Prepare shipping documents, packing slips, bills of lading, and other required paperwork. Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers and transportation companies. Ensure materials are properly identified, stored, and organized in designated areas. Maintain accurate inventory records and update the inventory management system. Report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials to the appropriate department. Operate material-handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, when required and authorized. Work closely with production, purchasing, and other departments to ensure timely material flow. Qualifications and Requirements Previous experience in shipping and receiving is an asset. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic computer skills and the ability to use inventory management systems. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to read and understand shipping documents and work instructions. Valid forklift operator certification is an asset. Ability to lift and handle materials as required. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
