Shipping Clerk

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate processing of outgoing shipments, coordinate with warehouse operations, and ensure timely delivery of products. Your expertise in shipping logistics, inventory management, and warehouse procedures will help maintain seamless distribution processes. Duties Prepare and verify shipping documentation using warehouse management systems and inventory management software to ensure accuracy. Pick, pack, and label orders efficiently utilizing RF scanners, order pickers, and pallet jacks to meet shipping deadlines. Load and unload trucks safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment while adhering to safety standards. Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations when applicable. Maintain detailed records of shipments, including tracking information, shipping & receiving logs, and order fulfillment data within ERP systems like AS400 or MRP platforms. Conduct inventory counts and stock replenishment activities to support warehouse distribution and stock management goals. Provide excellent customer service by addressing shipment inquiries and resolving discrepancies promptly. Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or logistics roles with familiarity in warehouse distribution processes. Strong knowledge of inventory management software, ERP systems (such as AS400), and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for order quantities, weights, and measurements. Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely within a warehouse setting. Skilled in data entry, order picking & packing, and using RF scanners for efficient order fulfillment. Understanding of trade compliance and international trade regulations related to shipping logistics is a plus. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, packaging, and order processing tasks. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards.
