Shipping Associate
RFI LLCJob Summary: Responsible for assisting with the maintenance of facility supplies and materials. Performs Shipping department operations and distribution of supplies to plant employees. Training needed: Job-specific SOPs, work instructions, documentation, and material-control requirements. cGMP, food safety, allergen control, sanitation, personal hygiene, and applicable Food Safety Plan/HARPC requirements. HazCom, required PPE, equipment safety, emergency procedures, and lockout/tagout awareness as applicable. Authorized production, warehouse, sanitation, or material-handling equipment used for assigned work. Duties/Responsibilities: People Leadership: Report daily to Shipping/Receiving Manager/Coordinator. Core Responsibilities: Specific pallets, pallet dimensions, pallet weights, etc. Customer Support: Pallets have top sheet, wrapped tight and neatly, clearly labelled for destination and per customer-specified instructions. Shipping and Receiving: Give Shipping/Receiving Verifier counts with extreme accuracy. Inventory Control: Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse:. Shipping and Receiving Support: Products that have been received in to the system will have barcode labels on them. Inventory Control Support: Assist warehouse team members in moving products to the correct locations. People Leadership Support: Regularly check on supplies and let the Shipping/Receiving Manager/Coordinator know when items are needed. Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Food Safety and Quality Requirements Follow all cGMP, food-safety, allergen-control, sanitation, personal-hygiene, contamination-prevention, and PPE requirements. Maintain product and material identity, status, segregation, lot traceability, line clearance, and required documentation controls. Immediately stop and report suspected contamination, allergen cross-contact, foreign material, quality deviations, unsafe conditions, or equipment malfunctions. Required Skills and Qualifications: Proficient with data entry and inventory software and systems. Proficient in use of forklifts, pallet jacks, drum dollies and other equipment related to warehousing, shipping and receiving. Ability to work with others in the accomplishing of shipment schedules and goals. Personnel should have previous job-related experience, GMP and cGMP training. Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience preferred. Work Environment: Regular exposure to operational conditions that may include noise, powders, allergens, odors, vehicle traffic, wet or slippery surfaces, and temperature variations. Regular work around equipment and material-handling activities while wearing required PPE and following applicable safety procedures. Must be available to work the assigned schedule and overtime or weekends when required by operational needs. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds at times.
