Summary of Position: The Shipping Associate has a crucial role during shipment preparation. The most important duties of a Shipping Associate are pulling product from inventory and preparing orders for shipment, making sure products are correct, in good condition and packed sufficiently to avoid damage in shipping. Additional duties include maintaining inventories, counting quantities, and reporting discrepancies to management. The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail, accuracy, time management, and teamwork. The role also covers duties at our Trademark facility in the absence of the Shipping Clerk. The Shipping Associate will process work orders in Netsuite and palletize units in preparation to move completed FGI to the San Marino facility. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Efficiently pick customer orders for shipment ensuring that the correct part number and quantity is pulled, packed and shipped Responsible for the completeness and correctness of orders filled Pack orders in best manner to protect during shipment and weigh final packages for shipment Tag, mark or label orders as required or requested Ensure shipments are accurate and free of damage Ensure that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped with carriers and freight forwarders Conduct physical inventories as required Follows good warehouse practices and required work safe practices. Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area. Scanning units into Excel spreadsheets, completing work orders into NetSuite, stamping and dating units Palletizing units onto pallet, scanning serial numbers and producing QR sheet, wrapping pallet with QR sheet Additional duties may include helping Production with assembly, help Packing with packaging and cleanup of area Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Computer knowledge is helpful, especially FedEx and UPS Ship Managers Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Netsuite ERP system preferred Pallet jack and forklift skills required. Must be forklift certified Personal Skills and Competencies: Must be able to read and write legibly, count accurately, do simple math. The ability to follow directions is extremely important Customer Base: Sales Department Customer Service/Order Entry Service Department External Customers Working Conditions/Physical Requirements of the Job: Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
