Shipping Associate

Cultures for Health is looking for a Shipping Associate to join their team. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. As a Shipping Associate, you will be responsible for efficiently picking, packing, and shipping customer orders. Outcomes: In this role, you will: -Pick batches/orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring order accuracy and meeting quality standards. -Pack orders to specifications, ensuring items are securely packaged for safe transportation. -Communicate any roadblocks or issues that may impact the shipping process. -Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. Responsibilities: -Pick batches/orders as assigned, following order picking instructions and ensuring accuracy in selecting the correct items and quantities. -Pack orders to specifications, ensuring items are properly packaged, protected, and labeled for safe and secure transportation. -Perform quality checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of orders before they are shipped. -Communicate any roadblocks or issues that may affect the shipping process, such as inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or delays in order fulfillment. -Collaborate with the inventory control team to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to inventory accuracy. -Adhere to packaging and shipping guidelines to ensure compliance with carrier requirements and customer expectations. -Utilize shipping software or systems to generate shipping labels, track packages, and update order status as required. -Maintain a clean and organized work area, including workstations and packing materials, to promote a safe and efficient working environment. -Dispose of packaging materials, such as empty boxes and packaging waste, in designated areas and assist with cardboard baling or recycling activities as needed. -Assist with product prep and assembly tasks, such as assembling kits or preparing products according to specifications, to support efficient order fulfillment processes. -Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to ensure compliance and mitigate potential risks. -Collaborate with the warehouse team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the shipping process. -Stay updated on product knowledge and changes in shipping procedures or requirements to ensure accurate and up-to-date order fulfillment. -Participate in training sessions or workshops to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to shipping operations. Qualifications: -High school diploma or equivalent. -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs -Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping role is preferred. -Familiarity with order picking, packing, and shipping processes. -Basic computer skills to navigate shipping software or systems. -Attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment. -Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. -Effective communication skills to report issues or roadblocks promptly. -Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams. -Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, lift and move packages, and stand for extended periods. -Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines. -Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work demands. -Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
