Shipping and Receiving / Yard Inventory

Job Overview As a Shipping and Receiving / Yard Inventory team member, you’ll keep operations moving by coordinating receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. Ensuring that incoming shipments are accurate, properly documented, and handled appropriately. Often using heavy equipment such as forklifts, telehandlers, and spotter truck. Ensuring all material that is received is up to standards. Duties and Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips. Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and securing loading. Operate forklifts, telehandlers, and overhand cranes to move heavy steel materials safely. Maintain accurate records of inventory, and receipts using inventory management software. Coordinate with management team to ensure timely delivery and receipts. Inspect materials for damage or defects and report any discrepancies. Maintain a clean and organized receiving area Ensure proper documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner Other duties as assigned Requirements Forklift certification and experience operating overhead cranes Ability to perform basic math, enter data accurately, and follow shipping and receiving procedures. Strong communication skills while demonstrating a professional attitude with leaders, customers, and co-workers, including during high pressure situations Collaborate with leaders and coworkers in problem solving Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment Physical Stamina: The Shipping & Receiving position must be able to perform all duties under extreme conditions such as inclement weather, heat, and limited workspace Manual Dexterity: The Shipping & Receiving position must be able to operate and utilize a range of motorized equipment.
