Shipping and Receiving Worker

Overview We are looking for a skilled shipping and receiving worker to join our team. We are a tier 2 automotive supplier in the Romeo area, with the need for someone with experience working in shipping and receiving. Duties Loads and unloads freight Verifies all shipments that are loaded and compared to BOL and packing slips Maintains shipping records for items unloaded and loaded May prepare BOL for shipments Move incoming and outgoing freight using pallet jack and forklift Notifies supervisor of any shipment discrepancies Document’s information needed for any damage claims for incoming freight Performs other related duties as assigned Skills Ability to sort, count and verify goods received Basic understanding of dock and warehouse procedures Good organization skills and attention to detail Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and Google Sheets Ability to use office machines to scan and store data High school diploma or equivalent – preferred Able to pass forklift training given by Shipping Manager -preferred Physical Requirments Must be able to lift 25 to 50lbs Must be able to stand, crouch, kneel, and squat for an 8-10 hour shift Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in warehouse and on loading docks Must be able to submit to a drug screen and physical Pay: From $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location: In person
