We are hiring a Shipping and Receiving Technician to work in Allen Park, MI. This is a position for thosewith some knowledge and experience in automotive, either on the job or as a hobby. We offer full benefits and and unlimited opportunity to build your career. Description: Coordinate all incoming and outgoing materials through shipping dock. Organize parts pre- and post-test with-in the test lab. (using hilo or pallet jacks) Coordinate with engineers, customers, other material coordinators and lab personal to determine what happens post-test to parts (ship, scrap, store, etc) Daily interaction with engineers, technicians, dock personnel, and management to support daily operations Write shippers for outgoing parts, as well as tag and organize parts for shipping Maintain safe working area and follow all lab safety rules & guidelines. Maintain shipping records for off-site storage MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma Must have valid state drivers’ license Ability to organize and prioritize workload on a daily basis (incoming and outgoing) Ability to work with others and take directions Good computer skills a must including Microsoft Office suite Experience shipping hazardous materials a plus (not required) Experience on fork truck (walk behind and sit down) Good verbal and written communication skills a must Good records keeping Ability to use tools and work with your hands Show a willingness to work safely under pressure (safe pace) Be able to work alone or as part of a team.
