Shipping and Receiving Team Lead
ConfidentialDescription: Summary | Objective The Shipping and Receiving Team Lead is responsible for the training and development of the Shipping and Receiving team. Duties for this position include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, managing space, and reviews incoming/outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations. Key Accountabilities | RESULTS EXPECTED TO ACHIEVE Ensures company standards for safety, quality and customer satisfaction are met or exceeded Key Responsibilities | TASKS YOU DO TO ACHIEVE THE ACCOUNTABILTIES Leads, develops, directs, and coaches the performance of Shipping and Receiving team Writes and delivers performance reviews annually for the team members within the department Effectively identify and address performance management issues as they arise. Give recognition in a timely manner for good performance Implement initiatives to promote a safety culture to drive toward zero incidents Assist with backing up all positions within Shipping and Receiving in the absence of personnel Follow up with customer requests on status of work orders and inventory Direct the team’s workload daily to ensure daily goals and objectives are met Creates shipping documents and processes completed orders Deescalates upset customers or vendors successfully by addressing their needs and finding solutions to problems identified Handles shipment discrepancies appropriately Reads and understands purchase orders, prints and manages blanket PO’s Manages process of damaged customer goods Load and unloadtrucks throughout day including hazardous materials Communicate daily with vendors, suppliers and transport companies to meet business goals Maintain standards of health and safety, cleanliness and security Lead processes for UPS and Fedex Shipments Input and retrieve information from the ERP software and provide reports and data as needed Conducts training for departmental personnel and ensures compliance with QMS standards Manages PTA requests and timecard approvals in absence of manager Performs all other assignments as required Must be able to work 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday Requirements: Qualities for Success Demonstrates Arrow’s Core Values High school diploma or GED equivalent Must be a Citizen of the United States of America or have a current Green Card Strong attention to detail to ensure safety and quality General computer skills and the ability to work with basic computer programs Ability to balance workload effectively and stay organized Ability to read and understand processes, procedures, and instructions Ability to work and collaborate with others respectfully and professionally Ability to be dependable and punctual, work overtime as needed Physical Requirements Lift up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 30 lbs. on occasion Ability to use hand tools requiring using fine dexterity and precision Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, and bending for 8 hours as the position requires Ability to withstand occasional odors The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Work Environment This position location is on the production floor. While performing the duties of this job, the team member may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk. The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate.
