Tube Processing CorporationSHIPPING & RECEIVING SUPERVISOR Aerospace Manufacturing Facility Position Summary The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the shipping, receiving, material handling, and warehouse functions within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This working supervisor will lead employees while actively participating in shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate material movement, proper documentation, on-time shipments, inventory accuracy, and compliance with company, customer, FAA, and quality requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Supervise and coordinate daily shipping, receiving, warehouse, and material-handling activities. · Work hands-on with the team to receive, inspect, identify, stage, store, pick, pack, and ship materials and finished products. · Ensure all incoming materials are properly received, identified, documented, and routed for inspection or processing as required. · Prepare and verify shipping documentation, packing lists, labels, bills of lading, and other required records. · Ensure aerospace parts, components, raw materials, and finished goods maintain proper identification and traceability throughout the material flow. · Coordinate domestic and international shipments with carriers, customers, vendors, and internal departments. · Monitor shipments for accuracy, packaging requirements, delivery schedules, and customer-specific requirements. · Maintain accurate inventory transactions and ensure material is moved and recorded in the ERP/MRP system in a timely manner. · Investigate and resolve shipping, receiving, inventory, documentation, and material discrepancies. · Ensure proper handling, packaging, storage, preservation, and protection of aerospace products and materials. · Lead cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation and corrective actions. · Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shipping and receiving area. · Train, coach, schedule, and provide direction to shipping and receiving personnel. · Monitor employee performance, attendance, productivity, and adherence to company procedures. · Work closely with Quality, Production, Purchasing, Planning, and Customer Service to resolve material and shipment issues. · Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate records and ensuring department procedures are followed. · Identify opportunities to improve material flow, shipping accuracy, productivity, safety, and operating efficiency. · Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, applicable FAA requirements, quality procedures, and customer requirements. · Perform other duties as assigned by management. Aerospace / Quality Responsibilities · Maintain complete and accurate records supporting material and product traceability. · Follow established quality procedures for receiving, identification, inspection status, storage, handling, and shipment of aerospace products. · Prevent unauthorized use or shipment of nonconforming, unidentified, or improperly documented material. · Ensure customer, regulatory, and contractual shipping requirements are followed. · Immediately communicate quality, documentation, damage, shortage, or traceability concerns to the appropriate department. Supervisory Responsibilities · Directly supervise and provide day-to-day leadership to shipping and receiving employees. · Assign work and establish priorities based on production and customer requirements. · Train employees on shipping, receiving, material handling, ERP transactions, safety, and company procedures. · Monitor workflow and staffing levels and adjust assignments as needed. · Provide feedback and participate in performance evaluations and disciplinary processes when necessary.
