Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring seamless warehouse operations. Your expertise in inventory management, shipping logistics, and warehouse distribution will contribute to maintaining optimal stock levels and timely order fulfillment. Duties Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders using warehouse management systems and RFID scanners Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately in accordance with customer specifications and trade compliance standards Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely to load and unload trucks efficiently Maintain detailed records of all shipping and receiving activities using ERP systems such as AS400 or similar inventory management software Conduct inventory counts, stock replenishment, and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy across warehouse locations Coordinate with logistics providers for timely dispatches and deliveries, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations when applicable Utilize Microsoft Office tools for reporting, data entry, and communication within the team Support warehouse operations by assisting with order fulfillment, stocking, order picking, and packaging processes Skills Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or MRP software, and inventory management software Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation and reporting purposes Experience with shipping logistics including international trade regulations and trade compliance standards Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers safely and effectively Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating weights or dimensions of shipments Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail for maintaining accurate records Exceptional customer service skills to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors Solid understanding of warehouse operations including stocking, order picking & packing, load & unload procedures, and e-commerce fulfillment processes Join us as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to play a crucial role in our supply chain excellence!
