Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring seamless warehouse operations. Your expertise in inventory management, shipping logistics, and warehouse procedures will help maintain optimal stock levels and support our commitment to exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Manage the receipt, inspection, and documentation of inbound shipments using warehouse management systems and RF scanners. Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and verifying orders with accuracy using order picker equipment and inventory management software. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely to load and unload trucks efficiently. Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry in ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms. Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely shipping and delivery while adhering to trade compliance and international trade regulations. Conduct regular stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory management software accordingly. Support order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms by ensuring correct packaging, labeling, and shipment of products. Collaborate with warehouse staff on stocking, order picking, packing, and overall warehouse distribution tasks to optimize workflow. Ensure all shipping & receiving activities comply with safety standards, company policies, and trade regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or logistics roles. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or MRP platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes. Strong understanding of inventory management techniques and order fulfillment processes. Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely; forklift certification is preferred. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately. Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail to maintain precise records. Customer service mindset with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and external partners. Knowledge of shipping logistics, packaging standards, trade compliance, international trade regulations, and e-commerce distribution is a plus.
