Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Duties Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RFID scanners Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately picking, packing, and labeling products in accordance with shipping guidelines Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload trucks efficiently Maintain precise inventory records through data entry into inventory management software and ERP systems such as AS400 or MRPs Ensure compliance with trade regulations and international trade laws during shipment processing Coordinate with carriers for pickup schedules, tracking shipments, and resolving delivery issues promptly Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock placement and replenishment using warehouse distribution best practices Assist in packaging products securely for shipment while adhering to safety standards and customer specifications Utilize RF scanners for order picking, packing verification, and inventory updates to streamline warehouse operations Experience Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with a focus on shipping & receiving operations Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems like AS400 or MRPs Hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred) Strong knowledge of shipping logistics including order fulfillment, load & unload procedures, and packaging standards Basic math skills for measuring quantities, calculating weights, and verifying shipment details accurately Excellent data entry skills combined with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal teams Understanding of trade compliance regulations related to international trade laws is a plus Join us as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to be at the forefront of our logistics excellence!
