Role Description The Shipping and Receiving Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Salisbury, NC. This position is responsible for receiving incoming materials and components, verifying shipments against purchase orders, and inspecting goods for accuracy and damage. The Specialist will prepare and pack outgoing shipments, label and document packages, and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely delivery. Daily tasks include maintaining organized storage areas, assisting with unloading deliveries, and operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment. The role also involves tracking inventory levels, updating records in inventory systems, and collaborating with production and purchasing teams to support smooth operations. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Shipping & Receiving, including verifying deliveries, processing documentation, and coordinating outbound shipments. Candidates should possess skills in Packing and Unloading to safely handle materials, prepare goods for shipment, and manage incoming freight. Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Control to track stock levels, perform cycle counts, and maintain accurate records. Candidates should possess skills in Forklift Operation and general material handling, with the ability to move and store products safely and efficiently. Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, attention to detail, basic computer proficiency, QuickBooks, and strong organizational and communication skills. A high school diploma or equivalent and the ability to meet physical requirements of the role (such as lifting and standing for extended periods) are preferred.
