Shipping and Receiving Specialist
Warren IndustriesJob Summary The Warren Industries Chesterfield facility is primarily a high volume automotive machined parts supplier. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist. In this role, you will oversee the efficient processing of inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with customer shipping requirements. Your expertise in manufacturing operations, inventory management, and logistics will help maintain on time delivery to customers. This is often a fast-paced environment where your organizational skills and attention to detail are critical to the success of the company. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against delivery documents. This will include weighing incoming material Generate pack lists using our ERP system Communicate with customers primarily by email regarding daily shipping and receiving activity Use customer specific software to prepare shipments and scan outgoing material Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, labeling, and documenting orders accurately. Generate barcode labels Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely to load and unload trucks efficiently Maintain accurate inventory records Coordinate with customer logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory management tasks to ensure stock accuracy Maintain shipping and receiving log Ensure packaging meets shipping logistics standards per customer requirements Arrange Fedex and UPS pickup and deliveries. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely to load and unload trucks efficiently Qualifications Proven experience in shipping & receiving, preferably in an automotive production environment Previous knowledge of inventory management techniques and ERP systems Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers safely and efficiently Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately Excellent data entry skills combined with customer service orientation for effective communication with employees and customers Prior experience with order fulfillment processes including picking & packing, stocking, load & unload activities Working familiarity with Microsoft Excel is a valuable asset Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 50.0 – 63.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
