Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring seamless warehouse operations. Duties Receive, inspect, and verify inbound shipments against purchase orders using inventory management software and RF scanners Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, labeling, and documenting orders with precision and care Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load and unload freight safely and efficiently Maintain accurate records of all shipping & receiving transactions using ERP systems like AS400 or similar inventory management tools Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and trade compliance standards Conduct stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory management activities to ensure stock accuracy within warehouse distribution systems Support warehouse operations by assisting with order picking & packing, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace Requirements Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics roles with familiarity in shipping logistics and inventory management software Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry, reporting, and communication purposes Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for weighing, measurements, and inventory adjustments Valid certification for forklift operation; experience with RF scanners, pallet jacks, and order pickers is preferred Strong understanding of trade compliance regulations and international trade procedures Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal teams Experience working with ERP systems such as AS400 or MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is highly desirable Physical ability to load & unload freight repeatedly throughout the shift while maintaining safety standards Join us in a role where your attention to detail fuels our success!
