Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving processes, and be familiar with various warehouse management systems. Duties Process incoming shipments, including unloading, inspecting, and verifying the contents against purchase orders. Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products for delivery. Utilize RF scanners to track inventory movement and maintain accurate stock levels. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move materials safely within the warehouse. Manage inventory using a warehouse management system (WMS) to ensure efficient order fulfillment. Assist with order picking and stocking of products in designated locations. Collaborate with e-commerce teams to fulfill online orders accurately and timely. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety compliance. Perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order processing. Requirements Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in shipping & receiving roles. Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and order fulfillment techniques. Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks is a plus. Proficiency in using RF scanners for tracking inventory is essential. Knowledge of MRP systems and AS400 software is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks accurately under pressure. Basic math skills for handling inventory counts and order processing tasks. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
