Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient processing of inbound and outbound shipments as well as pick up of items from locations in Los Angeles and Pomona. We are a growing furniture business making chairs, beds, tables and credenzas in Orange County and Los Angeles areas. Responsibilities Manage the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments Prepare outgoing shipments by picking up, packing, labeling, and verifying orders with precision using pallet jacks when necessary Maintaining accurate records of all shipments and coordinating with clients and vendors for pickups and deliveries. Support warehouse operations by stocking supplies, organizing storage areas, and assisting with order fulfillment processes Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding shipment status or issues Experience Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics roles, preferably as a Shipping & Receiving Specialist or similar position Hands-on experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently Strong understanding of shipping logistics, order fulfillment processes, and international trade regulations Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation purposes Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and inventory control Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to excellence in logistics!
