Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job description: We are looking for a detail oriented person to work in the shipping and receiving department. Experience with shipping services, packing and wrapping pallets is a plus. Some duties include. UPS / FedEx multi package shipments Pallet Shipments Moving and Organizing Raw Materials Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments by verifying delivery contents against purchase orders and packing lists, accurately inspecting for damages or discrepancies. Prepare outgoing shipments by picking orders, packing items securely using appropriate packaging materials, and labeling packages correctly for delivery. Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing inventory in designated locations, and conducting regular cycle counts to maintain accurate stock records. Assist in order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms by picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment according to specified requirements. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse environment to promote safety and operational efficiency. Communicate effectively with team members regarding shipment statuses, inventory issues, or discrepancies to ensure smooth operations. Experience Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes. Experience in order picking & packing within a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for counting inventory accurately and verifying quantities during order fulfillment. Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and best practices for load & unload procedures. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a physically active environment requiring standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout shifts.
