Overview Join our dynamic team as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through efficient management of inbound and outbound shipments. You'll be the key player in maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating logistics, and delivering exceptional service to internal teams and external partners alike. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damages or discrepancies Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items accurately using order picking tools and RF scanners Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material handling tools safely and efficiently Maintain precise inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or MRP software Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage during transport Coordinate with logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries while adhering to trade compliance and international trade regulations when applicable Conduct regular stock counts, update inventory management software, and report discrepancies promptly Ensure packaging meets shipping logistics standards for safe delivery across domestic and international borders Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock placement and optimizing storage space Maintain a clean, organized work environment aligned with safety protocols and warehouse operations standards Skills Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, ERP systems like AS400 or MRP platforms Strong knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, and logistics coordination Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and calculating shipment weights or volumes accurately Excellent data entry skills coupled with familiarity with Microsoft Office applications for reporting purposes Customer service orientation to effectively communicate with internal teams, carriers, and vendors Knowledge of warehouse operations including stocking, packaging, order picking & packing, load & unload activities Understanding of trade compliance regulations related to international trade laws when handling cross-border shipments Embark on a rewarding career where your expertise keeps our supply chain moving seamlessly!
