Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Overview As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist, you’ll keep warehouse operations moving by receiving, checking, storing, and shipping products accurately. You’ll use warehouse management systems and inventory management software to track stock, support order fulfillment, and coordinate shipping logistics. Your impact: Accurate receiving and shipping records help warehouse teams locate products quickly and customers receive complete orders. Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments; compare items with purchase orders and report discrepancies. Pick, pack, label, and stage orders; load and unload shipments using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers, as authorized. Stock products and maintain accurate inventory through data entry, RF scanner use, and routine checks. Coordinate with warehouse distribution, carriers, and internal teams to support shipping and receiving schedules. Follow applicable trade compliance procedures and international trade regulations when handling cross-border shipments. Skills Essential: Warehouse experience; familiarity with warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, inventory management, order picking, picking and packing, packaging, and basic math. Essential: Accurate data entry, customer service, and ability to use Microsoft Office. Preferred: Experience with warehouse management systems, inventory management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, materials requirements planning (MRP), or AS400. Preferred: Experience with shipping logistics, warehouse distribution, forklift, pallet jack, order picker, or RF scanner equipment.
