Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our logistics team. In this vital role, you will oversee the efficient movement of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, proper inventory management, and adherence to shipping regulations. Duties Receive incoming shipments by inspecting deliveries against purchase orders and verifying quantities using RF scanners and inventory management software Prepare outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, and labeling products according to shipping logistics standards Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely to load and unload trucks efficiently Maintain accurate inventory records through data entry in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms Ensure compliance with trade regulations and international trade laws during shipment processing Conduct stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation to uphold stock accuracy Collaborate with warehouse distribution teams to optimize order picking, packing, and order fulfillment processes Utilize Microsoft Office tools for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes Support warehouse operations by organizing stocking activities and managing packaging materials Assist with load planning, shipping documentation preparation, and tracking shipments until delivery completion Making local deliveries with the company sprinter van Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics roles with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures Strong knowledge of inventory management software, ERP systems (such as AS400), and MRP systems for order processing Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and order pickers safely Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and quantities accurately Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining precise records Customer service mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and carriers Understanding of trade compliance regulations and international trade requirements is a plus Prior experience working with shipping logistics, packaging standards, and order fulfillment processes is highly desirable Drivers License and a clean driving record Join us as a Shipping and Receiving Specialist where your expertise will directly impact our operational excellence.
