Shipping and Receiving Specialist

Position Summary Arce Cargo Express LLC is seeking a dependable Shipping and Receiving Specialist to help coordinate the movement of goods through our shipping and receiving area. This position involves checking deliveries, preparing outgoing shipments, maintaining shipment records, and making sure packages are directed to the correct locations. The ideal candidate is organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable balancing hands-on tasks with basic paperwork. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone interested in learning shipping procedures and contributing to an efficient logistics operation. Responsibilities Receive incoming shipments and verify package quantities against delivery documents. Inspect packages for visible damage, missing labels, or other delivery issues. Prepare outgoing shipments by organizing items and checking shipping information. Apply shipping labels and confirm that package details are accurate. Record incoming and outgoing shipments in logs or computer-based systems. Sort and stage packages according to destination, shipment type, or dispatch schedule. Maintain organized records of delivery receipts, packing lists, and shipment documents. Communicate with team members about shipment discrepancies or items requiring attention. Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, orderly, and free of unnecessary clutter. Assist with routine inventory checks and other warehouse support tasks when needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. No previous experience required; training will be provided. Basic computer skills and the ability to enter information accurately. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable, punctual, and willing to work collaboratively with others. Preferred Qualifications Basic math skills for checking quantities and shipment details. Clear communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage several routine tasks while maintaining accuracy. Willingness to learn shipping documentation and receiving procedures.
