Job Overview Have the CDL credentials but prefer a regular local schedule? Does being at home every night with weekends off sound good? Apply if you’re comfortable with hands-on bulk liquid handling and warehouse work and want hourly pay with no OTR travel. About the Job Put your CDL credentials to work in a local, first-shift position with hourly pay and company equipment. This is primarily a hands-on shipping, receiving, and warehouse job with limited driving. We handle mostly liquids, so loading and unloading generally means pumping material into or out of tankers . You will also connect and disconnect tanker trailers, move them around the lot, operate forklifts, and prepare shipments. All driving is between company plants and the warehouse or on company property. No over-the-road driving or overnight travel. Pay is hourly rather than mileage-based. Employees typically work 40 hours per week, often with some overtime, although weekly hours may occasionally vary. Responsibilities Pump incoming bulk liquids out of delivery tankers and load finished material into outgoing tankers. Connect and disconnect transfer hoses and equipment according to company procedures. Couple, uncouple, and reposition tanker trailers on company property. Shuttle materials between company plants and the warehouse. Operate forklifts and other authorized material handling equipment to load, unload, and move packaged materials. Verify shipment quantities, material identification, and labeling. Package and label drums, totes, and other containers. Prepare shipping and receiving paperwork and maintain accurate records. Store materials properly and keep warehouse and shipping areas clean and organized. Assist with equipment maintenance as assigned. Follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, and complete company driver and equipment training. This position reports to the Plant Operations Manager. Required Qualifications Valid Class A CDL with current Hazmat and Tanker endorsements . High school diploma or GED. Ability to safely operate an industrial forklift. Ability to operate company vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions. Meet applicable driver qualification requirements. Basic math skills and accuracy when completing paperwork. Ability to read and understand work instructions, shipping documents, labels, and safety information in English. Good communication skills, reliability, and attention to detail. Preferred Experience Shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, bulk liquid transfers, or tanker loading and unloading. Basic knowledge of Department of Transportation requirements is also preferred. Work Environment Active work involving substantial standing and walking. Lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds . Warehouse temperatures may range from approximately 32°F to 105°F, with some outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Work around chemical production operations with required hard hats, safety glasses, flame-resistant clothing, and respiratory protection. The respirator sealing area must remain clean-shaven; facial hair must not interfere with required respiratory protection. Tobacco-free worksite.
